Money Market Accounts

A Money Market Account combines the advantages of higher interest rates with the liquidity and access of a savings account. It has a higher minimum balance requirement, and it allows you to earn a higher interest rate. You may transfer from a money market account to another account or to third parties by preauthorized telephone or computer transfer, or by check, draft, or similar order to third parties. They are limited to no more than six transactions per statement cycle. The account is fully insured by the FDIC and the Depositors Insurance Fund.
