Barbabra Yanke

EASTHAMPTON, MASSACHUSETTS — Barbara Yanke, bankESB’s senior vice president, residential lending, has been named to the board of directors of the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association.

Founded in 1976, the MMBA is the largest mortgage association in New England, comprising more than 225 members from depository institutions, mortgage companies, wholesalers, and other mortgage industry service providers. The association works to ensure the continued strength of the Commonwealth’s residential real estate markets, expand homeownership prospects through affordability, and extend access to affordable housing. The MMBA also promotes fair and ethical lending practices and promotes excellence and integrity among real estate finance professionals through a wide range of educational programs.

Yanke joined bankESB as vice president in 2017, bringing more than two decades of experience in lending. She was promoted to senior vice president in 2021 and oversees the residential lending team for Hometown Financial Group’s entire family of banks: Abington Bank, bankESB, and bankHometown. Yanke also serves on the Worcester Community Housing Resources Property Development Committee and as board president of the YWCA of Western Massachusetts.
