Easthampton, Massachusetts – Matthew S. Sosik, President and CEO of bankESB, announced that the Boston Business Journal (BBJ) named bankESB to its 2018 Top Corporate Charitable Contributors List.

The BBJ named 105 companies, which in many instances includes corporations and their charitable foundations, who qualified for the distinction by contributing at least $100,000 to Massachusetts-based charities and social-service nonprofits for 2018. The honorees include companies from industries such as financial services, health care, technology, professional sports and more.

“Our dedication to the community is the cornerstone on which bankESB was founded. We have carried that long-standing tradition of community support with us as we venture into each new neighborhood,” said Sosik. “We are proud to be named a Top Corporate Charitable Contributor from the BBJ.”

Through its sponsorship and charitable giving program, bankESB and the Easthampton Savings Bank Charitable Foundation support non-profit organizations and causes throughout Hampden and Hampshire Counties. In 2018, the Bank and Foundation donated more than $300,000 to 150 organizations. In the last five years, the program has donated more than $1.1 million.
